One very nice benefit of living in the Sonoran Desert is the year-round presence of the humming birds. We enjoy watching them flit around too!

Good luck with the rose bush. It looks to be beautiful weather for the next couple of days. I am pondering the idea of a grapevine trellis near my patio.
The pigs came through last night and ate some of the blooms off our penstemons!I have the bases protected by wire, but the little blooms were gracefully dangling over the side. The hummers have been amazing this week. We have chuparosa, honeysuckle, the penstemon, and aloe blooming. I really miss my little camera for photo sharing and will have to find a replacement soon.

Hello Cathy:

Yes, that is where we are. Yeah, the foot is a real bummer especially since I was getting ready to transplant one potted rose bush before 2/15. I might still get it done.

I like Baker's Nursery (when they are well-stocked)- Berridge's is also good. The trouble is they are way south of us so I plan to visit when I am down that way.

The Target at Ashler Hills (the Summit) has had some great deals if you "catch" them at the right time. If I am near, I stop by and check.

Thanks for visiting the site!

Jeffery Ross,
We are closer than I realized. My father in law's place is at the end of 53rd St where the gate goes across. He sold the property just south and that is where the new homes are. You must be in the homes on the road to the west. I think John Dean lives in one. Debbie Cooper and Betsy Paul are just north. Dave Belson is south at 5B. Welcome neighbor! What nursery do you buy at?
