  • Compost Bin

The University of Missouri Extension Center has a fine article describing how to build a compost bin. The article has very detailed information from getting started to keeping the compost pile healthy. A good resource for everything you need to know about composting.

  • Spring Garden

Apparently “no dig” gardens are possible as this article explains. I read Ruth Stout’s book many years ago and it was full of good ideas and inspiration. Sad that she is no longer with us.

  • This is a unique idea; rain gutter gardens! I never saw this before and it certainly won’t work for me in the AZ desert, but might work for others in more temperate environments. (Quite a novel idea in the right place like the side of a shed.)
