I have been away from the blog for a while and I will have a new post soon, but until then, I thought I would share some thoughts about one of my hobbies, photography, along with an inspirational quote.
While I was away, I received news that one of my favorite photography blogs, photofocus, will be entering its last year as I know it. Scott Bourne is the inspiration and spirit behind this resource. I read it regularly and listen to the podcasts whenever I am able to do so.
While many of the topics are aimed at the professional photographer, there is much here for all photo hobbyists and enthusiasts like me. I would like to recommend that if you are interested in photography, you should head over to Scott Bourne’s blog and gather as much information as you want.
While you are there, I would also like to recommend that you read several philosophical pieces that deal with photography as well as the larger scope of life. One of my favorite pieces, probably because I am also closing in on that stage in my life, is On The Day Of My Death. It isn’t a downer and it isn’t morbid. It is poignant and worth a read.
Here is a quote I gathered from photofocus along with one of Scott Bourne’s photographs. I hope you enjoy it and I encourage you to visit the photofocus blog and explore. The original post referenced above is here.
