[...] We have a variety of wildlife visiting our gardens and this has provided some interesting problems. The coyotes appear to be dwindling in numbers. We generally see them several times a week, but this year they have been infrequent visitors and the abundance of rabbits and ground squirrels tells the tale. We have taken measures to counteract some of the dining habits of these critters. You might recall that we talked about Javelinas here: http://www.gardeningonthemoon.com/2010/12/13/out-of-javelinas-reach-part-i/ [...]

Jenny,

I am glad you stopped by. The section of Tatum Blvd highlighted is certainly a "hidden" gem in the desert. It is well tended and expertly landscaped. I am glad you enjoyed strolling down memory lane (so-to-speak)!

Regards - [ Jeff ]

Hey Jeff,

The photos made me a tad nostalgic. Thanks for the virtual stroll down Tatum Blvd (my new Memory Lane). Fun to see some of the old gang, and good to be reminded of their names too-- it's so easy to forget the desert when submersed in the rains of the NW. Nice job.

It seems like areas either have lizards, or they have scorpions.

My yard has lizards, and I am very glad of that.

Thanks for visiting.

I do know that the seven chicks are not likely to all make it, but it's going to be a blast watching their development into adults over the next few weeks.

Jenn:

Whether I return the plant or not depends on how aggravated I am over the incident. If I think the plant died because of my negligence, etc. then I overlook it, but if the plant received very good care (which is almost always the case) and I have tried more than one, I have no problem with a return.

I feel about white flowers the way you feel about pink flowers HOWEVER I am so starved for flowers in the desert that I will take any color.
