Jenn:

Whether I return the plant or not depends on how aggravated I am over the incident. If I think the plant died because of my negligence, etc. then I overlook it, but if the plant received very good care (which is almost always the case) and I have tried more than one, I have no problem with a return.

I feel about white flowers the way you feel about pink flowers HOWEVER I am so starved for flowers in the desert that I will take any color.

I never return anything to the box stores - pretty much because I never buy anything over $10.00. If the plant dies, I just shrug, consider it a florist purchase and move on.

I'm going to buy the jasmine and lavender from them again next year. They were a beautiful combination (this from someone that in Michigan would NEVER plant anything PINK) and lasted for months before they dropped in the heat. Money well spent.

This is so sadly funny. We obviously don't have enough aggravation in our lives, so we go out and create so much more! I did LOL. Will now send it on to some of my more aggressive neighbor lawn caretakers!

I find this spread terrific. It goes very well with ham sandwiches, turkey or chicken. I generally chop four cans of the peppers at once and freeze them in 3 TBS amounts so they are easy to defrost and use when needed.

Jeff, it seems a cruel and ironic twist (literally) of fate when one is trying to do all the best things for his body and has such uncomfortable outcomes! I hope you heal completely, and that you are back to running (gently) soon!

Good luck with the rose bush. It looks to be beautiful weather for the next couple of days. I am pondering the idea of a grapevine trellis near my patio.
The pigs came through last night and ate some of the blooms off our penstemons!I have the bases protected by wire, but the little blooms were gracefully dangling over the side. The hummers have been amazing this week. We have chuparosa, honeysuckle, the penstemon, and aloe blooming. I really miss my little camera for photo sharing and will have to find a replacement soon.

Hello Cathy:

Yes, that is where we are. Yeah, the foot is a real bummer especially since I was getting ready to transplant one potted rose bush before 2/15. I might still get it done.

I like Baker's Nursery (when they are well-stocked)- Berridge's is also good. The trouble is they are way south of us so I plan to visit when I am down that way.

The Target at Ashler Hills (the Summit) has had some great deals if you "catch" them at the right time. If I am near, I stop by and check.

Thanks for visiting the site!

Jeffery Ross,
We are closer than I realized. My father in law's place is at the end of 53rd St where the gate goes across. He sold the property just south and that is where the new homes are. You must be in the homes on the road to the west. I think John Dean lives in one. Debbie Cooper and Betsy Paul are just north. Dave Belson is south at 5B. Welcome neighbor! What nursery do you buy at?

Thanks for the advice. I have found a good barber in Cave Creek that I frequent, but I am not adverse to trying others! [ Jeff ]
